The South Arkansas College men’s basketball team brought energy, excitement and plenty of smiles to Morning Star Preschool in El Dorado for Hero Day.

The Stars enjoyed interacting with the preschool students while promoting the importance of strong male role models in the lives of young children. With many players having younger siblings and members of the coaching staff raising young children, the visit was especially meaningful for the team.

Head Coach Eric Collins was pleased with the players’ engagement and emphasized the program’s commitment to becoming a staple in the El Dorado community. The Stars hope to continue building relationships throughout the city and earn the community’s support during the upcoming season.

The Stars open the 2026–27 season October 31 at 6 p.m. Kids get in free when they attend in costume. The team looks forward to seeing the El Dorado community in the stands and building something special both on and off the court.
